About Us
We are a non-profit
organization that works to
promote the development of microfluidics for use in
developing countries.
We
believe that developments in "microfluidics" and related
"lab-on-a-chip" technologies will be central to
developing useful point-of-care diagnostics for the
medical community. Many current developments,
however, focus on use in high-income settings. We provide a resource
for anyone interested in
developing, deploying, and promoting microfluidics for
developing countries. (Click on the buttons on the left.) A tremendous effort will
be needed in the next 5 to 10 years to make this goal a
success, and numerous important efforts are already
under way. The information on our website ranges
from an introduction to microfluidics for the general
public, to specific references for further information
for specialists. |
